From there, we ride through a peaceful countryside dotted with olive trees, until we reach the town of Nardò. ⏺︎ MEET THE LOCAL – Pantaleo’s Farm Stop This unforgettable stop brings you into the heart of authentic Puglian life. You’ll meet Pantaleo, a warm and welcoming local farmer whose family has produced olive oil, wine, chickpeas, and flour for generations. Step inside his home and feel like part of the family as he shares stories of rural traditions and guides you through the craft of making extra-virgin olive oil and Primitivo wine. Meanwhile, his wife prepares fresh friselle with tomato and other homemade treats—simple, delicious flavors that embody Southern Italy. It’s an intimate, genuine encounter that turns your e-bike tour into a cultural journey. ⏺︎ NARDO After a 28 km / 17 miles ride (about 1 hr and 20 mins) you’ll reach Nardò. Pause for a local-style late breakfast at the beloved Bar Parisi in the main square, where a perfectly chilled Caffè Leccese pairs beautifully with a warm pasticciotto or savory rustico. You’ll also have time to explore the elegant Baroque town center, wandering through its noble palaces and quiet alleys. • 1 hour • ⏺︎ SANTA MARIA AL BAGNO After an 8.5 km / 5.3 miles ride (30 mins) along quiet country back roads, you’ll reach the Ionian coast and arrive at the bay of Santa Maria al Bagno. Take a refreshing swim in its crystal-clear waters, then unwind like a local — with a gelato in hand, a cold beer, or a light seaside lunch as you soak up the relaxed coastal atmosphere. • 1 hour 30 minutes • ⏺︎ GALLIPOLI AAfter a 14 km / 8.7 miles ride (40 mins) along the scenic coastal route, you’ll arrive in Gallipoli — a stunning fortress town built on a tiny island, connected to the mainland by a 17th-century bridge. Explore its charming historic center, almost entirely encircled by 14th-century defensive walls, and soak in the rich maritime history of this Apulian gem. If weather permits, you’ll have another chance to enjoy a refreshing swim. A table for lunch can be reserved upon request. • 1 hour 30 minutes • ⏺︎ PRIVATE TAXI BACK TO LECCE We leave the bikes in Gallipoli and return to Lecce by private taxi or Uber (included in the tour price) — a relaxing end to a day full of discovery, without the need to pedal back. • 40 minutes ride •
